Phil Tickle presenting at the Harvey Beef Gate to Plate Schools Challenge, and MLA BeefUp Forum

The combined Harvey Beef Gate to Plate Schools Challenge and MLA BeefUp Forum held in Albany (Feb 19-20) was a great success. Well over 60 producers attended on the first day, and over 100 high school students participated in the schools challenge on the 2nd day.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to be invited to the forum to share our ideas, technologies, stories with the current and future generation of WA farmers. WA is doing a great job maintaining and growing agricultural education through its Colleges. There are five residential campuses located near Cunderdin, Denmark, Harvey, Morawa and Narrogin with each campus located on a commercial sized farm.

Its a shame we are seeing agricultural colleges closing down in other states when we already have a shortage of skilled labour, and a growing need for "tech-savvy" young women and men in agriculture.

Big thanks to Barbara Bishop, MLA and the Harvey Beef Gate to Plate organisers for putting on a great event.

If you are a South West WA producer interested in undertaking a commercial trial of our pasture biomass services this coming season please get in touch.
